John Behrens, NMLSR ID 494667, of HomeServices Lending was named the Shining Star for December. Behrens offices at the HOME Real Estate Cotner office. The Shining Star award is a monthly award to recognize an employee, sales associate or sales manager who has exceeded expectations in some area of his or her work.
Behrens’ nomination read:
“I need to nominate our lender, John Behrens, for the Shining Star award for December. Just now, a couple of men came into our office, lost, looking for the housing authority office. John was walking in when they came in, and was trying to give them directions (it is three blocks from Cotner). One of the men was blind – both appeared to be from another country by their accents. The blind man’s companion looked so confused and upset because he did not speak English well, did not understand directions, local landmarks or the street numbering system, and appeared almost near tears.
They were on foot. John dropped everything he was doing and put his things away in his office, and walked with them to the Housing Authority offices, making sure they got there okay. Such a generous thing to do – he really deserves a pat on the back for that!.”
Shining Stars are HomeServices of Nebraska associates, including managers, employees and agents, who help make our company a better place for our customers, clients and for each other. Nominees must exemplify the following:
- The person went out of their way to exceed the HomeServices of Nebraska Standards and best practices.
- The gesture or service was above and beyond normal job requirements or expectations.
- The employee, manager or agent went beyond the call of duty to ensure the needs of a customer, fellow employee or agent.
Anyone is invited to nominate employees, agents or managers who have displayed The Shining Star Spirit. For someone to be recognized, a Shining Star Nomination Form must be submitted by the 15th of every month. *A participant is eligible to win one (1) time per year.
