The Santa Station and Mistletoe Mailbox
Every day, leading up to Christmas, you and your little ones can enjoy a visit with Santa at the Christmas cottage located at SouthPointe Pavillions Shopping Center. You can find the cottage between Von Maur and Talbots and can grab a quick snapshot with Santa. Be sure to have your kids bring their Christmas wish list and drop it off at the Mistletoe Mailbox located in the lobby of First National Bank. Photographs will be taken by Vantage Imaging, and the event is sponsored by First National Bank.
Railyard Ice Rink’s Skate with Santa — December 22nd
No Winter vacation is complete without a trip to the Railyard Ice Rink to slice some ice. Skate with Santa on December 22nd from 7 pm to 9 pm while you listen to the sounds of holiday tunes by author and musician Telvin Hansen starting at 6:30 pm. Hansen will also be reading Felice the Christmas Fairy, his award-winning children’s book. Enjoy the skating seven days a week with the whole family. Check out The Railyard for more details on hours!
Men’s Basketball – Nebraska Cornhuskers vs. Cal State Fullerton Titans – December 22nd
Catch a basketball game with the family and cheer on the Huskers! The men’s basketball team will host Cal State Fullerton Titans this Saturday at Pinnacle Bank Arena at 1 PM. Tickets start at $10 to catch the ranked Huskers. Come slam dunk your way into the holidays while rocking at The Vault!
SLIME – December 23nd
A favorite amongst kids! Come make some slime from 1 pm to 4 pm on Sunday at Cosmic Eye Brewing. For less than the cost of making it at home, get a guided slime making session. Materials are supplied. Come enjoy some responsible drinks while the kids make some fun slime they can play with through the holidays!
70th & Pioneers Hy-Vee Lil’ Chefs – “Winter Wonderland” – December 27th
Keep the holiday spirit alive after the big day with a Lil’ Chefs cooking class. A good way to move the kids into healthier eating for the New Year is a class at 70th + Pioneers. The Hy-Vee dietitian, Alyssa Krejci, will be hosting a Lil Chefs “Winter Wonderland” cooking class for children. Register on the Eventbrite website, 70th + Pioneers Hy-Vee customer service or call (402) 489-4244. Registration is $12 per child for each session. Children under 5-years-old must be accompanied by a guardian. All you need to bring is your own apron and maybe a chef’s hat!
Women’s Basketball – Nebraska Cornhuskers vs. Michigan Wolverines – December 28th
Catch the women’s basketball kick off their conference schedule against the Wolverines from Ann Arbor. Tip-off is at 6:00 pm at Pinnacle Bank Arena. Tickets start at $10 to cheer on the ladies to victory. Catch the game and enjoy the Railyard before and after the game! The Haymarket and Huskers are waiting for you.
