HomeServices of Nebraska recently completed its first full program of the HomeServices of America Leadership Academy.
Graduates of the Leadership Academy include HOME Real Estate agents Leighun Brabec, Dan Mlnarik, Mary Ryan, and Alison Wick, and Larabee School of Real Estate Director Andie Young.
The HomeServices of America Leadership Academy is a program designed to enhance general leadership abilities and strengthen skills of selected, high-performing individuals at the local level. This multi-session program was developed by leaders across the HomeServices network and has been successfully implemented in a variety of markets.
Here’s what the graduates had to say about the program and their experience:
This program really focused on effectively working with a team and learning how to better understand your employees and peers. More importantly it gave me better insight into identifying how I can work with individuals to help them hone their skills and become more successful. When your team is successful, you operate a successful business.
For me, the class was a great refresher of Leadership Resources class I took several years ago. In addition to refreshing, it also gave some new ways to better manage my time/productivity. It was also a great chance to see how/why we do things as a company to help our agents/staff/community.
The training showed me that leadership isn’t just about top-down decision making, that it includes vision and experience and collaborative planning – it’s great to know the company values insights from Realtors and actively develops those insights into policy.
My biggest take away from the Leadership Academy is an even greater respect and admiration for the other participants in the class and our current company leadership. I work with genuinely talented people and I always learn so much from them.
The leadership academy program through HomeServices was a learning opportunity about the value of quality leaders and their impact on an organization, but it was also a conversation starter about our own company and the ways we, as leaders and future leaders, can impact the day-to-day touch that the organization has on our colleagues and the community. Through the class, a common bond was found in people who want the best for the company now and in the future and strive daily to uphold the values that make HomeServices the company that it is.
